Fixes

Well, thanks to our great friend Dan O'Connor, we now have a website in working order. As you will notice, the newest posts are at the top of the page. I was kindly informed by Dan that we have been doing this thing all wrong from the start - we are supposed to have the newest info at the top and not at the bottom. So he fixed it.
And, notice that the dates from now on will be somewhat correct, but in order for Dan to fix what we did wrong I had to make up some dates for what we posted earlier.... so, the other dates are sometimes close and sometimes not close. Ignore the dates.
There you have it.
Take care

Knee Braces

The shed roofs on our house need knee braces to help support them in the event of heavy snow. Well, a couple weeks ago they sure got their test without the braces, and although they held up fine, we decided to add them for insurance. Kevin made the first one and I made the other 5. Had a carpenter install since we were not about to climb up there and do it. Nice work by Josh!

We continue to move ahead! Might have electric all roughed in by tomorrow.

Wayne and John

More of our wonderful neighbors who helped us put in the BIG picture windows.... we estimated each window was about 400 pounds!

Grinder Debbie

Deb takes a hand with the Don’s new grinder that he got for Christmas. She had to trim off some bolts from the steel post to accomodate the last of the framing.

Looking From The Dining Area To The West

Now that the lower biggest of the big windows are in the living area, it should be relatively easy to install the last three.... although they do weigh about 4-500 pounds each.. but now all we have to do is lift them up about 8 inches instead of 25 feet!

Deck at Dark

It was getting late but had to take this pic... the magic deck as Kevin called it - it floats up there!
